Trying to decide what car to get is a challenge, but thankfully Nissan is making the decision a little easier with the 2016 Nissan Murano. Not only was this SUV just named an IIHS Top Safety Pick, it also just won in Motortrend’s three-way comparison against the Ford Edge and the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Driving performance and a fantastic interior set this SUV apart from the competition.
“The Murano was really fun to toss around, as its stability control allows a lot of latitude before intervening.” – Motortrend Once you start the engine in your 2016 Murano you’ll notice that it’s not one of those bulky and slow SUVs of the past. The Murano has a 260-horsepower VQ-series V-6, which has been engineered to provide the perfect mix of power and performance. With a 0-60mph time of 7.4 seconds and an EPA estimated 21mpg in town and 28mpg on the highway, you’ll be making less stops at the gas station and spending more time on the road in your zippy SUV. While we were driving we never found a shortage in power, which means we were able to get up to highway speeds quickly and change lanes without effort. One of the coolest things is the AWD system, which manages to give your 2016 Murano the traction of four-wheel drive without any compromise to the gas mileage.
“It has a sense of really trying to deliver a higher style, higher material quality experience.” – Motortrend Inside the 2016 Nissan Murano you’ll notice the materials feel like something out of the future. Ambient lighting brightens up the cabin, and adds a nice touch to the overall design. In the center of the dash is the optional 8-inch touch screen that handles most of the cars information and entertainment functions. You would think having one touch screen control everything would be confusing, but thankfully the system handles the job perfectly. The seats are supportive but still remain comfortable, which makes this SUV excellent for casual road trips and commutes. Motortrend seems to agree, and their review says it well “The navigation system was one of the best I have ever worked with, thanks to the large, responsive touchscreen and crisp graphics. The seats were very comfortable.”
“Overall, it’s rather delightful — smooth riding, reasonably quiet, a good blend of everything.” – Motortrend Engineering a SUV that is the perfect blend of sporty, comfortable, and efficient is a massive challenge. Yet somehow the 2016 Nissan Murano pulls things off. With bold exterior design and efficient touchscreen controls, this SUV is near perfect inside and out. You’ve read the review, but you still need to see this car for yourself. Stop by Future Nissan of Roseville and take this SUV for a test drive, because this vehicle is something you need to see for yourself.
