Data Privacy

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (officially Assembly Bill 375) is a bill intended to enhance privacy rights and consumer protection for residents of the state of California (USA). Among other things, CCPA grants consumers the right to request that a business disclose details of personal information that it collects, including but not limited to: the categories and specific pieces of personal information that it collects about the consumer, the categories of sources from which that information is collected, the business purposes for collecting or selling the information, and the categories of 3rd parties with which the information is shared. The CCPA also grants a consumer the right to request deletion of certain, non-exempted personal information and the ability to opt-out of the sale of personal information.
